Junior Pope’s producer, Adanma Luke, has claimed that the late actor was provided a life jacket but declined to wear it before his fatal drowning.
After Junior Pope and three others lost their lives in an accident involving their boat capsizing on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from filming “The Other Side of Life,” Luke has come under heavy fire, according to RAWLOADED. Adanma Luke broke her silence on the subject and said that Junior Pope was handed a life jacket, but he turned it down since it was dirty.
She said, “Our director and Emeka, the director of photography, were both outfitted with life jackets,” in a video message posted to her Instagram account. One was still up for grabs, but I don’t know who grabbed it. Our production manager talked about seeing and grabbing life jackets.
Junior Pope was even asked to accept one from him on the late Friday, but he refused, pointing out that it was unclean. The boat accident was avoided by those wearing life jackets.
They told how Junior Pope made sure everyone was okay in the middle of the mayhem. Tragically, he vanished despite even having a gallon to cling to for comfort.”
“They discovered he was gone when they surfaced. Divers came and started helping some, allowing others to carry on with their rescue operations. When I asked them what they thought caused the accident, they said they weren’t sure, although they did add that TC was standing on the speed boat’s rigging bell.”
