A former Red Devil, Roy Keane, gave his opinion on Kobbie Mainoo on Sunday during Manchester United vs. Coventry City’s FA Cup semi-final.
Although the 19-year-old midfielder has had a fantastic few months, Keane told ITV that Mainoo is a different kind of player and that it is insufficient to compare him to other midfielders like Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham.
Regarding Mainoo’s lack of physicality in comparison to fellow midfielders Bellingham and Rice, Keane responded, “He lacks that physicality.” He is not very tall. He is intelligent, though. He keeps things tidy.
After a string of impressive months, there’s a chance he’ll travel to Euro 2024 this summer with England.
