Jamie Carragher, a former Liverpool defender, has tipped Manchester City to beat Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.
He also stated that the victory would confirm Manchester City as the champions of the league under the leadership of Pep Guardiola.
Manchester City are currently top of the league, holding a one-point cushion over second-placed Arsenal.
The Citizens have also played one game less than the Gunners, who have topped the league for the majority of the season until a couple of weeks ago when they handed over the driving seat.
Arsenal will play Brighton later on the day, with the north Londoners in need of a win to keep pace with the league leaders.
Carragher is of the belief that a win for Manchester City at Goodison Park will decide the title race.
He told the Telegraph, “It is impossible to see City dropping four points in any of their remaining games post-Goodison, and there is no way Everton are going down if they pull off an unlikely win.
“City are on the threshold of matching the most glorious chapter in English football.
“The trip to Everton could be the toughest remaining game in City’s quest. If City win, there will no longer be a belief that they can win the Treble. It will become an expectation that they will do so.”
