Thiago Silva, a defender for Chelsea, has acknowledged that a decision has been taken regarding his future in the Premier League.
The 39-year-old was speaking on Saturday following the Blues’ 1-0 FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City.
Silva made hints that his time at Stamford Bridge might be coming to an end, but he did not provide any information.
“In the next few days, you will become aware,” he stated.
“After a loss, I don’t want to say anything right now. Although I’m disappointed with the outcome, the news will eventually surface. Although I’ve already made up my mind, this isn’t the time to announce it.
Although it’s not a sport for individuals, my four years here were excellent. Not because I didn’t think highly of myself, but it’s uncommon to see players at this level at 39 given my age and the competitiveness of this league.
You can see this, even if I dislike talking about myself. During the semifinal, I was prepared to play overtime! I see that I still have a few years left to enjoy playing football.
