Former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie has described Chelsea stars Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as ‘terrible players.’
This follows their lacklustre performances for the Blues in the ongoing 2022–23 campaign.
Sterling, one of the brightest players at Manchester City until his move last summer, has failed to live up to the expectations of fans.
He has managed to score seven goals and provide four assists in 35 games for his club so far this season.
Aubameyang has scored just three goals and laid out one assist in 21 appearances.
“Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been terrible for Chelsea this season. The club has got nothing off them. How can they pay that much money for those two? I hate saying that about players.
“Sterling has not established himself as a world-class player, and he should have by now. Neither of the players is interested,” McAvennie said.
