Manchester United legend Gary Neville has praised Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta for dropping Thomas Partey in the Gunners’ 2-0 win over Newcastle United.
The Gunners were winless in four straight games until they defeated Chelsea and went on to beat Newcastle United last weekend.
However, the three draws and one defeat they recorded last month is almost costing them the Premier League title.
Partey started in all four games they failed to win while Jorginho was not named in the starting XI during that time.
The 31-year-old Italy international was handed starts against Chelsea on May 2 and Newcastle United five days later.
“Mikel Arteta deserves a lot of credit for picking Jorginho,” he said on his Podcast.
“Many would have said get Thomas Partey back in there. … Jorginho composed his teammates and guided them.”
