Gary Neville, a former defender for Manchester United, stated that it would be “madness” for Chelsea to fire head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Neville was speaking on Sky Sports following the Blues’ 2-0 Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
With four games remaining, the outcome moved Pochettino’s team up to ninth position.
Even though Chelsea had a lackluster season, they might manage to qualify for a European tournament the next year.
Neville stated: “A month or so ago, there were rumors that Pochettino was under pressure.”
However, I believe it would be insane to replace the coach, whose abilities to work with these kinds of players are well-known.
“It seems more important to ensure stability through a new transfer window than to believe someone else could take over and perform better.
This season, Pochettino has had several highs and lows. But this one is really good.
