Chelsea will reportedly allow veteran centre-back, Thiago Silva, to leave Stamford Bridge should he decide to return to Brazil this summer.
Silva has another year on his current contract with Chelsea, but the Brazilian has been linked with a move to his former club, Fluminese.
The 38-year-old has been a key figure for Chelsea since joining the Blues on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain back in 2020.
However, Chelsea wants Silva to stay beyond this season, but if he decides to leave, the west London club won’t stand in his way, according to The Telegraph.
Silva has an emotional connection with Fluminese, and the Brazilian club gave him a lifeline back in 2006 with a loan move when he had just recovered from a career-threatening tuberculosis problem.
