Chelsea is set to let their academy graduate, Dujon Sterling leave the club on a free transfer to Rangers.
Evening Standard reports that Rangers are closing in on a deal for the 23-year-old, who has spent 15 years at Stamford Bridge.
Sterling, who spent this season on loan in the Championship, was impressive in defence for Stoke.
The coming of Malo Gusto from Lyon, who will join the first-team squad next season, is a clear indication that Sterling is not in the Blues’ long-term plans.
The Blues are said to have given the green light to the player to join former Chelsea academy coach Michael Beale at Ibrox.
