Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has received praise from former Barcelona striker Gary Lineker, who compared the caliber of Palmer’s ball to that of Lionel Messi of Inter Miami.
Palmer made a fantastic assist during Chelsea’s victory over Nottingham Forest 3-2 in the Premier League this past weekend.
Mykhailo Mudryk scored the first goal for the Blues after the England international played an impeccably precise pass between Gonzalo Montiel, the right defender, and Willy Boly, the center back.
Lineker expressed his admiration for Palmer’s assist during the match on the Rest of Football podcast, asking Palmer, “Cole Palmer, what about the pass for the Mudryk goal?” The weight of it! It was quite Messi-like.
