This year’s Easter celebrations have brought the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, and Christians all over the world great joy.
Justice Ariwoola also extended a warm welcome to the country’s Muslim adherents who were witnessing the ongoing Ramadan fast.
In a proclamation from the CJN’S office on Sunday, Equity Ariwoola directed the two Christians and Muslims to utilize the two events to supplicate intensely for harmony and peacefulness to keep on winning in the country.
The CJN personally signed the following statement: It is with appreciation to All-powerful Allah, the most charitable, the most lenient, the most kindhearted for His beauty at this season when the two Christians and Muslims all around the globe are fasting and approaching All-powerful God for assurance and endowments that I express my good tidings to all.
“I am taking this opportunity to express my gratitude to my brother Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and our supporting staff for their unwavering cooperation since the start of the current legal year of 2022/2023, which began in the middle of September 2022.
“I want to specifically thank and acknowledge my brother justices for delivering 272 judgments under tremendous pressure in the normal civil, criminal, and election-related Appeal.
“We acknowledge, adore, and praise Almighty God for continuing to keep us all healthy.”
I wish Christians a happy Easter and Muslims a prosperous Ramadan and a happy Eid-el-Fitr.
The Supreme Court is off for Easter and Eid al-Fitr, but it is expected to resume this month.
