“It has been one week since you departed from this world, leaving behind a profound sense of loss that resonates not only within our community but also across Africa and beyond,” he said on his Instagram page.
“JP, we are terribly saddened by your absence. You were a brother and a friend to us. Even though we are very saddened by your passing, we find comfort in the knowledge that God will give us the strength to go on and preserve the legacy you have entrusted to us.
We remember you well from the boat when you said, “Na only me dem born, I get 3 children na me go raise them,” and we sincerely swear to keep your commitment.
As members of the Okonkwo family, we promise to raise your children in the manner in which you would have desired. Your children now find solace in the arms of our family.
JP, you leave a void that is tangible, and your memory will always be treasured. May God’s blessings surround your soul, your family, and everyone who holds you dear, and may you rest in peace knowing that you are incredibly loved.”
