The news caught the attention of award-winning singer, Davido, who has now pledged to donate $10,000 to Mary as a token of appreciation for her remarkable deed.
Davido took to his Twitter account on Sunday to share the news of his donation.
Reacting to the news on his Twitter handle he said, “Find her for me … I donate $10k”
Reports by Vanguard News detail how Mary immediately informed the hotel management upon discovering the bag containing the substantial sum of money. Following the establishment’s policy of integrity and transparency, the hotel’s General Manager swiftly initiated the process of returning the money to its rightful owner.
Not only has Davido recognized Mary’s praiseworthy actions, but the presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party also took to Twitter to commend her and call on Nigerians to follow in her footsteps.
