Popular microblogging platform Twitter has started deleting thousands of verification checkmarks, including that of music star, Davido. Among other celebrities affected are Donald Trump, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has previously stated that the free Blue badge removal would end on April 20. April 20 is the last day to remove legacy Blue checks, the 51-year-old investor and business magnate posted on his verified account.
The blue check was missing when it was run through some well-known individuals, including Pope Francis, former President Donald Trump, musicians Justin Bieber, Davido, Wizkid, and Katy Perry, as well as soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo.
Do you think this is a good move by Elon Musk? I think he is out for business and is ready to milk every opportunity that presents itself. We will be watching how the world reacts to this move. Share your thoughts in the comment section.
