In the Nigerian music scene, afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, brazenly declares himself the greatest of all time (GOAT).
Even though Wizkid and Burna Boy are regarded as two of the top three Nigerian musicians, Davido constantly shies away from being compared to them.
Davido is heard adamantly declaring that he is the only “GOAT” in Nigeria in a video that Shopsydoo, a British-Nigerian content maker, posted on TikTok.
“I am the only GOAT in my country,” he declares.
Davido reaffirmed during a recent visit on the American television program Sway’s Universe that although he, Wizkid, and Burna Boy are frequently regarded as the biggest Afrobeats stars worldwide, he sees himself as the genre’s dominant figure.
