Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham left one fan ‘shaking’ in the hours before the team’s penalty shootout victory over Dallas on Sunday.
More late heroics from Lionel Messi inspired Miami to a dramatic victory in the Leagues Cup and, en route to the game, Beckham stopped by Blu’s Barbeque where he left one employee in a state of shock.
‘I am shaking right now. I’m a huge, huge fan,’ the employee continued. ‘I think that’s the only reason I came to America, to meet this guy…. I am following Messi too, all powers to Miami.’
Following the game Beckham and his family were greeted by an enormous crowd as they left the stadium, which was also captured on Beckham’s social media.
‘WOW what a night in Dallas, thank you for the Love,’ he wrote on his Instagram page. ‘What a game.’

The footage showed Beckham leaving Toyota Stadium following the penalty shootout.
A mass of supporters and camera phones greeted the 48-year-old, who shook hands with fans as they shouted for the former England captain and patted him on the shoulder.
It was a similarly chaotic scene as they drove away from the stadium, with fans lining the streets and rushing for high-fives as Beckham dangled his arm out of his car window.
Fans ignored warnings to stay off the road – instead the screaming masses raced along the sidewalk and on to the street, forcing Beckham’s car towards the middle lane.
‘Thank you, Dallas,’ Beckham posted alongside the videos on Instagram. ‘Amazing scenes.’
