Renowned content creator Abdulgafar Ahmad, known as Cute Abiola, recently expressed gratitude on social media towards the Nigerian military for the profound influence they’ve had on his life.
Cute Abiola, a former Naval officer, garnered attention in November 2021 when he was detained and penalized for breaching the armed forces’ social media regulations by posting a video of himself donning military attire online.
In a reflective Instagram post shared on Wednesday, the entertainer reminisced about his time, sharing images from his days alongside fellow detainees in a Navy cell.
Reflecting on his stint in military custody, Cute Abiola acknowledged the humbling impact it had on him.
Accompanying the images, he captioned, “30 days Inside cell 2021! The military really humbled me. Thank you Armed Forces. My morale was high. I had a little fun inside the cell at some point.”
In November 2022, Cute Abiola transitioned from the Nigerian Navy to pursue a career in entertainment, citing a desire to focus more on his creative endeavors. This decision coincided with his appointment as Special Assistant on Creative Industries by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State.
