Chelsea’s dismal form in the 2020/2021 season was a cause of concern for their owners and fans alike. While Frank Lampard was sacked earlier in the season, manager Frank Potter seemed to be on his way out as well.
However, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and President Bruce Boehly failed to act in time and as a result, Chelsea are now facing an uncertain future.
It is clear that if Boehly had acted sooner and fired Potter, the team might have been able to turn around their fortunes.
However, the failure to do so has left Chelsea teetering on the brink of disaster. With key players such as Hakim Ziyech not performing at their best and a lack of depth in certain positions,
it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to compete with other teams in the league. Thus, it remains to be seen whether or not Chelsea can save themselves from this disastrous situation or if they will plunge further into obscurity
