Certificates of Return given to Senators by INEC on Tuesday The Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, gave Certificates of Return to the people who won the Nigerian Senate elections on February 25, 2023.
At the International Conference Centre in Abuja, the new legislators were given their certificates by Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of INEC.
On Saturday, Yakubu stated that 423 seats in the legislature had been awarded.
In addition, 46 additional constituencies would see supplementary elections held.
To put things in perspective, elected representatives hold 98 of the 109 Senate seats and 325 of the 360 House seats.
In like manner, Seven gatherings won in the Senate, while eight won Place of Delegates seats.
