Famous entertainer Carter Efe has made an official announcement about reconciling with renowned rapper Blaqbonez, effectively putting an end to the intense disagreement that had been ongoing between them for the past year.
The source of the disagreement revolved around a conflict over the division of earnings from their collaborative and popular track, ‘Machala’.
The initial eruption of the conflict occurred when Blaqbonez took to social media to openly confront Carter Efe, alleging that Carter Efe was trying to unfairly distribute royalties to fellow artist Berri Tiga in relation to the aforementioned song.
Blaqbonez had raised doubts about Carter Efe’s intentions, pointing out the apparent contradiction between Carter Efe’s statement that the music industry is tough and his choice to provide Berri Tiga with only a 5% portion of the proceeds from ‘Machala’.
Recollecting the intensity of the dispute, Carter Efe shared his perspective during an interview with MTV Base, shedding light on the nature of the argument and how they eventually resolved it.
My beef with Blaqbonez wasn’t a cruise. It was a real quarrel. He find my trouble. I just dey my own for Twitter, him just come dey say, ‘If you think music is easy, why do you want to give Berri Tiga 5% ?’
“I was surprised. I didn’t reply him. My handler was replying him on Twitter and they were trading words. He thought I was the one.
But we have settled now. That’s guys for you. We are not like women; they envy each other ,” he explained.
