The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will inspect the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, to check renovation works done on the ground.
Rivers United were barred from using the ground for their group stage games as it didn’t meet the required standards to host international matches.
The Nigerian champions played all their home games in the group stage at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The Pride of Rivers are keen to get CAF’s approval to host the first leg of their quarter-final tie against Young Boys of Tanzania at home.
The encounter is scheduled for Sunday, April 23.
Renovation works have been carried out at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in recent weeks.
