Burna Boy has achieved a combined 8.47 billion streams across all visible streaming platforms, making him the most streamed Nigerian musician to date. He has said how grateful he is to his fans and to those who continue to support him.
Burna Boy’s closest competition for the number one spot comes from fellow Nigerian artist, WizKid, who managed to gain an impressive 8.39 billion streams. Following closely behind WizKid are Davido, Rema, and CKay, who completed the top 5 streamed Nigerian artists with 3.76 billion, 3.67 billion, and 3.28 billion streams respectively.
Several new artists have also recently emerged onto the Nigerian music scene. Tems, Omah Lay, and Asake debuted on the most streamed list, proving that the Nigerian music industry continues to grow and change. By contrast, Tekno, Flavour, and P-Square have fallen out of the top 10 streamed Nigerian artists in the latest list from Top Chart Africa. Despite this, the Nigerian music industry continues to flourish, with a diverse range of artists making their mark on the world stage.
