With the actor’s burial taking place today, May 17, 2023, it is a difficult time for the late actor’s friends, family, and loved ones.
The story of Junior Pope and five other people drowning in Anam River on April 10, 2024, has long since been forgotten. The actor would be buried on May 17th, according to the funeral plans his family made public after his passing.
According to an update, the actor is presently being buried at Ukehe, Enugu State, the site of his birth. His wife, who was holding their last kid, was seen crying in pictures and videos from the burial that are quickly becoming viral online.

Remember how his funeral poster generated controversy? Well, before he passed away, Junior Pope was married to Jennifer Awele, with whom he had three sons. Astute fans saw that “husband” was conspicuously missing from the obituary poster, which made mouths water.
Speaking up, his family said that they had not approved the burial poster and that they have now updated it to add his wife.
His friends and coworkers celebrated his first posthumous birthday on May 7th, despite his passing.
His posthumous birthday was observed by a few of his coworkers, including Rita Edochie, Nosa Rex, Rachael Okonkwo, and Stanley Nwoko. His godmother Rita took the initiative, pointing out that she could no longer physically celebrate his birthday with him. She asked him some questions and said that she felt her heart break again, but that she finds comfort in the knowledge that he is keeping an eye on them.
It was mentioned by Nosa Rex, also called Baba Rex, that they would have been commemorating his birthday. He did, however, wish him a happy birthday because he hadn’t been laid to rest.
Heartbroken that she can no longer call him to wish him a good birthday, Rachael Okonkwo voiced her sadness. She vowed he would always be in her heart and pleaded for God to receive his soul.
Stanley Nwoko mentioned that he had never celebrated his birthday without his loved ones, friends, and coworkers. He said that while death snatched him away like a thief, he is grateful to God and emphasized how grieved his heart is that they can’t see him longer.
