Mikel Arteta led Arsenal team will be in action tonight in their 32nd league game of the current English Premier League campaign at home against Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal despite leading the Premier League for vast majority of the season now have their title charge looks to be faltering even without suffering a league defeat since mid February, where they had a run of seven (7) wins and two (2) draws.
The North London club in their last two games blew away a two goals lead both against Liverpool and West Ham United which as such placed them just four points clear ahead of second place Manchester City who have a game in hand, which could probably reduced the point to just one.
In a bid to keep their pursuit of winning first EPL title since 2004 going, the Spaniard tactician Mikel Arteta will be fielding a strong starting XI line-up in order to keep on track.
Here is the probable starting XI line-up for the Gunners in the show of the night:
English shot stopper, Aaron Ramsdale is expected to be at the heart of the goal post having been the preferred number one choice of goalkeeper in between the stick, with the duo of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba to pair as the central defenders alongside the duo of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ben White to play from the left-back and right-back position respectively, to complete the four-man defence line.
The midfield trio of Granit Xhaka, Martin Odegaard and Thomas Partey could be deployed at the heart of the centre-field with Xhaka and Partey playing more of the defensive role, to solidify the defence line while Odegaard will be playing more of the offensive role to help in getting the ball advanced upfront to complement the forward line.
The attacking trio of Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka could be deployed at the heart of the attacking line with Jesus expected to play as the main hitman upfront, and the other two to play from the left-wing and right-wing respectively in the 4-3-3 formation.
