Famous Nollywood actress Funke Akindele recently posted her sincere condolences on Instagram in response to the news that Aderounmu Adejumoke passed away on April 6, 2024. Adejumoke’s funeral plans were briefly reposted from another account, which prompted Akindele to comment, “Sad!!!” Jumoke, rest well.”
As RAWLOADED first reported, Akindele’s brother, Adejumoke, criticized her expression of grief, accusing her of being fake and acting kind.
Akindele still hasn’t responded to the accusations in spite of the criticism.
Aderounmu Adejumoke was well-known for her partnerships with Akindele, most notably in the television series “Jennifer’s Diary,” in which she made multiple appearances.
The circumstances of Adejumoke’s death are still unknown, since her family has chosen to keep their distance and not provide any public comment.
Adejumoke’s departure joins the likes of Mr. Ibu and Amaechi Muonagor on the mournful list of deaths in the Nigerian film industry this year. This year is one of great sadness for Nollywood.
