Grammy recognition is the Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable,’s ultimate ambition in the music business.
The ‘Zazu’ performer stated that it would be a noteworthy accomplishment for him to receive a golden gramophone.
“Winning a Grammy is my ultimate goal in the music industry,” Portable said in a recent interview with content producer Timi Agbaje. It won’t feel like a success until I get a Grammy. Win in the African category is what I want.
“I think our local honors are tainted, so I hope to be recognized internationally. Since I can sing better than most of my coworkers, I feel confident in my ability. Many people find it difficult to play live or produce high-caliber music, therefore they rely on autotune. My goal is to create meaningful and conscientious music.”
