Junior Pope was a young Nollywood actor and a father of three. His passing is undoubtedly a major loss to the profession, especially for his family.
The actor, returning from a filming location when he drowned at Anam River, Anambra State, in April, has been laid to rest.
The actor’s first son was seen tearing up in a video that went viral online, showing him being escorted from the chapel. The small boy in the video was accompanied by a few people, who were probably family members, and he was unable to stop crying.
Many people are devastated by the video and lamenting his passing.
Prior to his burial on May 17, 2023, Rawloaded said that the family, friends, and loved ones of Junior Pope Odonwodo are going through a difficult period.
The actor was laid to rest in Ukehe, Enugu State, the site of his birth. His wife was seen crying in pictures and videos from the funeral that went viral online. She was holding their last child.
His posthumous birthday was observed by a few of his coworkers, including Rita Edochie, Nosa Rex, Rachael Okonkwo, and Stanley Nwoko. His godmother Rita took the initiative, pointing out that she could no longer physically celebrate his birthday with him. She asked him some questions and said that she felt her heart break again, but that she finds comfort in the knowledge that he is keeping an eye on them.
It was mentioned by Nosa Rex, also called Baba Rex, that they would have been commemorating his birthday. He did, however, wish him a happy birthday because he hadn’t been laid to rest.
Heartbroken that she can no longer call him to wish him a good birthday, Rachael Okonkwo voiced her sadness. She vowed he would always be in her heart and pleaded for God to receive his soul.
Stanley Nwoko mentioned that he had never celebrated his birthday without his loved ones, friends, and coworkers. He said that while death snatched him away like a thief, he is grateful to God and emphasized how grieved his heart is that they can’t see him longer.
